Old Ranch Country Club Golf Clinic
Our latest Vets Whole In One event, in partnership with SCPGA (PGA HOPE) golf clinic, offered free golf knowledge in chipping putting, full swing and even free lunch!!! (Thanks Sprouts Grocery stores!)
Many, very experienced PGA instructors came out to offer their valuable insights and instruction to the eager golfing veterans who sought a little help and enlightenment with their games. Really all anyone hoped for was to learn to play a little better and to apply some mindfullness meditation techniques learned from our mindfulness teacher, Stephen Islas.
Thank you so much to instructors, Joe Grohman, David Kulla-Mader representing the SCPGA Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and the entire PGA crew. James Davis, Bob Schrader, Larry Schneider, Jim Petralia, Bob Forester, and Zach Zuchman. (Vets Whole In One crew) Jim Dennerline, Danny Saez, and Alex Rogers.
The quality of instruction was apparent as the veterans seemed to be learning very quickly and were able to be at ease while receiving their lessons. The learning of golf fundamentals was only a part of the equation though, camaraderie and good vibes on the range made another day of community building and support possible. We are grateful to have completed another successful event, which has continued to grow the values and healing space created by Vets Whole In One for veterans.
