Mindfulness Meditation Event Thursday April-25th at The Lakes in El Segundo

Please join us for our mindfulness meditation at the Lakes in El Segundo!

6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Meeting at the clubhouse next to the Cafe.

Mindfulness is the simple act of being in the “here and now.”

When we are in the “now” we experience the world as it is—no illusions of the future, and no regrets of the past. Through each inhalation and exhalation of breath we take, we awaken the healing agent to our Body, Mind and Heart.

It also opens you to witness the “oneness” of all human beings. It will, when practiced, remove the barriers that create separateness.

So, by doing mindful meditation practice, you can see those barriers: criticism of others, judgments based on illusions of how things “should” be. It helps you to focus on what is happening around you by relieving stressful situations, worry and low moods. You become Fearless by growing your ability to be present and excepting yourself & others.

We all harbor tapes in our head, tapes that were imbedded by parents, older siblings,   playmates and teachers of various religions and philosophies as well as our service in the military and  return to civilian life.

So mindful meditation emboldens you to live in the moment. In this way you truly get to know yourself and can act according to your desires for a healthy mental life.

Here are some remarks by people who participated in our last Mindful Meditation event

I am always amazed, when I practice mindful meditation, to realize how much people are alike. By sharing what I experience and what I create as illusion I find my fellow man (or woman) has the same or similar experiences and create the same illusions. In the last session with other vets in a Vets Whole In One mindful meditation session I became closer to the veteran I was sharing with. We both created the same like and dislikes. It showed me that we are not alone in this world. I am now more closer and at one with the fellow veteran.

I also learned from the golf pro attending, through his sharing, that all people feel stressed and anxious at times. His was always before a tournament. He began mindful meditation, and now feels more calmly before such tourneys. And he plays much, much better. I am so thankful I gave myself this gift of health.

Larry Manzo

“It is paramount to practice mindfulness because it keeps me focused in the present moment. I am here and now because my breath sets the rhythm towards deeper awareness thanks to mindfulness”

Lorena Rincon

“It was a pleasure to participate in the Vets Whole in One mindfulness class on April 4th. I enjoyed the interaction with the Veterans and would recommend every Vet into joining the next session”
